Vision Statement
Dundaloo’s vision is a caring, respectful and just community in which all people have the right to equal participation and the opportunity to reach their potential. Dundaloo Support Services believe in and seek to enhance:
- The innate worth of all people
- Justice, particularly for those less advantaged in our community
- The rights and responsibilities of all people living with an intellectual disability
- An equitable society that honours integrity and values difference
What Participants Can Expect From Dundaloo Support Services
- To know their rights as a participant and the standards of practice set out by the NSW State Government
- To know what Dundaloo Support Services may expect or require of a participant , in relation to safe practices and financial obligations
- To know that our practices will be just and fair, meaning that we will be inclusive of someone’s background, language, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability or disability, knowledge and life experiences
- To know that our practices will be confidential and respectful, meaning that we will honour each person’s privacy and uphold the contextual limitations of confidentiality
- To know that we will be committed to sharing information and knowledge with participants and that we will continue to enhance our work practices
- To know that if a person has a complaint or grievance that this will be managed professionally and that all communication will be open, clear and honest
